Gainesville City Commission Endorsements

Dear Members and Friends,

The Stonewall Democrats of Alachua County are pleased to announce our endorsements for the 2018 Gainesville City Commission Election.

At-Large Seat 1 – Gail Johnson
We believe that Gail supports equality for all in Gainesville, and will work to ensure that our city continues to be safe, diverse and welcoming.

District 1- Gigi Simmons
We believe that Gigi’s history of local public service and a hands-on approach in her own community demonstrates her leadership and ability to work together for all of Gainesville.

Election Day is March 20, 2018.

 

Please join us in supporting these two candidates when you vote for Gainesville City Commission.

SDAC met Thursday, 2/8/18 at our new meeting space at Santa Fe Downtown Campus. Thanks to Gail Johnson, Gigi Simmons, Tyra Edwards and Harvey Budd, candidates in the upcoming Gainesville City Elections, for attending our candidate interviews. SDAC will meet shortly to discuss endorsements in the 2 races. Look for announcements in the near future.

Our next regularly scheduled meeting is March 8th, 5:30pm, at SFC Downtown Campus.
